Bildungsurlaub (also called Bildungszeit or Bildungsfreistellung) is paid educational leave for employees in Germany. With an officially recognized course, you can use those days to learn Spanish in Mexico City, with classes in the morning and the city as your classroom in the afternoon.

What a course day looks like
- 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: level-based group class (max. 8 students), with La Rutina Cotidiana, our method based on real-life situations.
- Extra classes: pronunciation, reading comprehension and vocabulary games.
- Walking tours around Mexico City to complete the hours recognized by your state.
- Included: registration and placement test, welcome ceremony, study materials (free), Esme AI tutor 24/7, official certificate of participation and A&V diploma at the closing ceremony on the last Friday.
Documents for your employer
- Berlin: before the course, the confirmation that the course is recognized; at the end, the certificate of participation.
- Lower Saxony: before the course, the registration confirmation with the course number; at the end, the confirmation of regular attendance.
- Rhineland-Palatinate: before the course, a copy of the recognition annex; at the end, the certificate of participation. Companies with fewer than 50 employees can apply for salary reimbursement.
Regular attendance is required for the official certificate. Missed classes are counted as taken and are not rescheduled.
